On August 11, 2019, residents of Isiolo County and particularly needy families including widows and orphaned children celebrated Eid Al-Adha (feast of sacrifice) with a style courtesy of the donations of 30 sheep by the Qatar Charity Organization. The sheep were donated to Fighting Against HIV/AIDs Stigma in Kenya (FAASIK), Isiolo Branch. The sheep were slaughtered and the meat was divided among 250 neediest families including widowed women and orphaned children. Idris who led the team members in slaughtering the sheep said “this act of donation it’s a true example of what we learn from Quran. The poor people from our community today they will eat and have plentiful.”

Numerous members from needy families echoed their word of thankful as they received the meat. “I’m so thankful for giving each of us some meat to celebrate Eid Al-Adha. May Allah bless you abundantly,” said Mohammed. “I am so happy that despite our poor condition, someone somewhere thought about us and today we can afford to eat meat as we celebrate Eid Al-Adha,” said Fatuma. “May Allah bless Qatar Charity and FAASIK for the good work that you do of helping the poor in our community,” said Fardhosa.
